Founded in 1997 in the city of Porto Alegre, AFC Geofísica started as a geophysical consulting services provider with a small technical team but with over twenty years of experience in the geophysics area. It was first focused on projects related to the environmental area, engineering, archeology and groundwater prospection on the South of Brazil.

      In 2002, following the acquisition of state of the art equipment and the development of new methods, the company gains some ground on the mining area nationwide, conducting various projects to assess mineral deposits as well as various actions to acquire new ones for big mining companies. Good results in this sector allow the company to start working internationally in Gabon and in Angola by 2005.

      Nowadays, besides the continuity of the mining projects, AFC reached a remarkable level of excellence on the provision of services related to both the pre-project and the reservoir seismic monitoring. It is also recognized for works related to shallow water pipelines (pipeline shore approach), providing services for its implementation, detection and mapping.
